    Default Airlie spotting... 7/24

I had to be in P-town Thursday for a funeral. Took a buzz around the harbor just before sunset and spotted Airlie at anchor, Southwest of the breakwater. Jamie and C-dog both safe aboard. He asked me to pass along that he planned to be in Portsmouth on Tuesday?

Looks like he means it... Watched him sail out around the point just before I had to leave town myself this morning....

Thank you! Nothing I love more than hearing updates on one of the few people still living aboard their boat!

Some coincidence. I just got back from a week up in P-town (on wheels.) I was paddling my kayak around the harbor and had to check out that salty looking schooner at anchor. Getting closer I recognized Arlie from the photos posted here. He rode out a real blow Thursday afternoon. He was expecting to stop in Rockport on the way north.

Yeah, it blew the paint off for awhile there Thursday afternoon... Rolled in right after the burial service and let go just in time for a quick run around the harbor at sunset. Jamie picked a nice safe spot for anchoring. Almost right on top of Hindu's old mooring from back when I was with her.

(Flying into Logan late Wed. was lots of fun too...)

Well, am in Casco Bay. A long 30 hour trip because there was no bloody wind...Typical!!!
Saw some whales though. One Right Whale3 tagged alongside for a few miles. About 30 yds off to starboard. Didn't seem to mind me at all.
One Humpback going through full broaches about 100 yds away. Should have heard the impacts on the water. Impressive!
Will be in Portland until Friday then heading eastward..

You're in Portland? Where are you? Lots of people passing through anchor just on the fringes of the mooring field where Talisman lives. We'll be sailing this afternoon. Did you find your phone yet?

We might as well stop asking about the phone. Jamie just doesn't want to find his phone and asking about it just transforms us into a bunch of mosquitoes.
