I plan on posting updates on the forum under the above heading. Please take a look at The Wooden Boat Rescue Foundation when you see the above subject line. www.woodenboatrescue.org

New to our list at WBRF:
--Atkin Shore Liner---good shape and very solid construction, needs engine, cosmetic, and a bit of deck work.
--1967 Chris Craft Lapstrake cruiser--30' good shape-in water.
--Sea Bright Skiff--25', tough but simple and very nice lines.
--Down East Cruiser---this one is in good shape, but more info coming.
Ralph Winslow Sloop---nice shape, but needs new stem--more info coming.

    Cheers, Bruce

I love what you're doing OEX.I wish that I were on your coast and didn't have an unrestored boat in my driveway,I'd take that kosterbot of you in a second.

Keep up the effort,we'll all appreciate it when we see some of these classics restored.

The last thing I need is another restoration, but a 1893 Joseph Bishop Gloucester Sloop Boat would get my interest. Lucky me, none of these survived! I am in the middle of a restoration now -- 35ft gaff cutter---love he, so I hope I can stay focused.

The Downeast Lobster Cruiser caught my eye. I'd love to hear more about it and get some stats. Who knows, maybe I'll be in the cockpit of that boat someday .

OEX, did somebody save that CC in Alexandria, VA? I don't see it listed anymore. I see that boat everytime I go to Bellhaven Marina.

Hello all---sorry for not getting to you sooner.
OK the CC in VA is off the list since the owner was selling her---did not know it was a free site--my fault for not making it clear. If you are interested in it I can get the info to you. We do have two ccs now, one on the site and the other a 1969 lapstrake coming on shortly.

My e-mail is bioelf@mindspring.com, the site e-mail link keeps sending mail tot he wrong place---work in progress.

Classes---I would love to get a group to approach Wade Smith and Walt Ansel at Mystic. Maybe you could start a thr4ead about the class---let me know if you do. But, we have to have it all solid first---so round up people and lets do it. I think the Cape Cod Cat on the site would be a good project for the class. I took the Boat Repair class with Wade and Walt last year---its was great. It was one solid week, but I think they would be open to a series of weekend, etc---that is if they have the time at all---which I do not know about but will ask if we can get 6 people. ----I think it was around $500. The also run the boat building class, three days, I am thinking of taking that so.... Here’s the link http://www.mysticseaport.org/source/...nd=participate

Yes we need a mid-west person too---was that you volunteering?

Sea Bright Skiff---I will have pix up soon---she is very sweet but needs all new frames---easy on this boat though. I am thinking of taking her on my self, but...? Also I do not keep boats here and do not plan to—and really hope I can stick to my guns—I do not need any more!!! She has very similar lines to the Atkin Little Water (see the plans under utilities 20+ feet http://www.atkinboatplans.com) ---so similar that she might actually be an Atkin or the base of an Atkin. All the measurements are almost identical, as is the stern, etc. I am looking into this and getting more info on Sunday. That said she would make a very nice launch/fishing/cruising boat similar to the Little Water.

Info on the Winslow and the downeast are coming---people are busy and often its just tough to find time to take pictures and get info to me. They are said to be in fairly good shape---I have not seen them and as you all know (I hope) I am no expert.

    Cheers, Bruce

Great Eric---please drop me a note at bioelf@mindspring.com and we can get things worked out. The first step is just going to all the yards and marinas and asking if they have old wood or? wood boats and if so we can help, also you just spread the name of WBRF.

looking forward to your e-mail, Bruce
