    Default Free Books

I have some books that I no longer need and am willing to send them for the postage or, if you will be at the WBS, you can buy me a few beers.

    The titles are:
    • Forty Wooden Boats: A Third Catalogue of Building Plans
    • Boat Design Quarterly No 18
    • How to Build the Shellback Dinghy
    • Building Sunshine with plans by Walter simmons. (No boat was ever built from these plans, I built the Pooduck instead)
    • Sensible Cruising Designs
    • Understanding Boat Design by Ted Brewer
    • The Nature of Boats by Dave Gerr
I would like to see them go somewhere where they will really be read and then passed on or shared by a localised group of forumites. In this case each one of the beneficiaries gets to buy me a beer at the WBS! Of course you probably all already have these titles. I woud give them to the local library but no one would ever check them out and they are sometimes at a loss for what to do with English titles anyway.

    Let me know.

I would love to have those books. Plus, we homeschool our children and they would come in handy to help educate them. When we finish with them we will pass them on to other homeschool families. I will take all of them if they are still available. Let me know.

    Thank you!

How about a swap meet at the WBS to exchange books?

    Hi Mike,

I would dearly love to at least read the two last books on your list.Postage would be nil as I could come and pick them up or better yet, you could come check out a big Bolger build, bring the books and I'll keep you in beer for the day

Once finished reading them, I hereby solemly swear to pass them on to the next person!
PM me for directions to the boat if interested.

    How about both?

SalmonMan works out postage with mwybo and gets the books for the homeschoolers and we all bring a handful of books and put them on the WBF table at the show

I've already passed most of my extras on already, but I see a few here I can bring.

I'm in. I've got some doubles on some titles, rather give em away then sell them cheap.

I like the idea of the swap.

Salmonman, I will send you all the books relative to plans plus Sensible Cruising Designs, There is a lot of learning and doing in these books and the kids should enjoy them. There are some great stories in Cruising Designs. I will also include a set of plans for the Shellback dinghy from which no boat has ever been built in the hopes that you get inspired by all the Shellback literature and actually build one! Mail me your address.

Bring Books for Big Bolger Build and Beer! Peter, you get Brewer and Gerr. Mail me your phone number.

I may have more books by the time the WBS rolls around so I'm in for the swap as well.

We could donate them to our local Sea Scouts group here in Port Townsend at The Wooden Boat Foundation!
