Does anyone know where some plans for a good drift boat are. Maybe even some plans for free somewhere. There is an article in the Outdoor Life for building a Maxi-Mac. It has sort of plans in it but I have some questions on it. One the hull bottom it is curved. The hull sides are also curved to match the hull bottom. How exactly do you go about making this curve. I will try and get some pictures taken of what I am talking about if I am being hard to understand. Thanks for the help.

Marcus,I know little about drift boats, but have fished steelhead and salmon from many of them in cal,s trinity and klamath rivers.

These are rivers with a combination of long rough rapids(with angry rocks exposed and submerged)and slow pools.

Every drift boat I have been on has had hard reinforced chines, and flat bottoms for toughness and stability as a platform.

I think the pacific northwest boating community should have pleanty to offer you if you will be using the boat in similar waters.
    Just some thoughts.
