    Default GS' Dead wood

    Glued on; just gotta drill some long holes now; 1/2 rod has been ordered for keel bolts; should be interesting

    The entire dead wood is made by laminating up 3/4 double dressed fir; the virtical tail pc is splined to end of dw with 2 continuous 3/8x 1 3/4 short grain solid fir splines, it will also be pinned and bolted. The shaft log hole was previously drilled and will be drilled thru from the inside for the missing 3 1/2"

    Looks great, but I suddenly wonder why you're not drilling holes in each piece before you laminate the parts together? You could then use the holes to clamp the laminations, too? Must be something I'm not seeing.
