Default charleston shellback build ... still going

This is my fourth boat and it is a great project but I of course underestimated the time requirement - and continue to do so. SWMBO - How much longer til you're done with that boat? My last build was Devlin's Cackler about 8 years ago - we use that boat atleast once a week
in the winter and twice/wk in the summer. Still on original paint job on topsides and I finished the bottom with epoxy and graphite also maintenance free for 8 years. Boat lives on trailer in garage and has ever since she was born.

Well, anyways this was supposed to be an update on the shellback:

    oarlock pads

    glassed - 1 layer 6 oz

First time outside to wash her (amine) blush off

    Keel

Primer - tough to paint over the bright stuff. Neighbour said looks worse.

Boom and upper yard - D.fir rectangle shape epoxy - was going to birdsmouth the boom but it was too easy to just slap two pieces together.

What's this set up for? (Thanks Bob S for your pics)

trial - dry helper #1 building airplane with masking tape

    8 easy pieces

spanish windlasses (sp?) with clamps to hold the stick. Did this solo (original WB article states definitely a two person job - if it comes apart, they were right) and it was not as bad or tough as I thought. You just need to have faith that they are all going to snap together and they will.

    last update pic -

this is second coat after a rough thick first coat that I had to basically sand off. (Top plank is going to be blue) Went on better with thinning and bristle brush. Thanks for all the great advice!
    Speaking of advice-
Warren, when are you coming out with your book, "Zen and the Art of Blading Paint"? Or the movie (not Runner) but "Blade Painter" Cheers, mate and have a Toohey's Old for me 'cause I can't get one here.
