Life is too long to live with an ugly boat...
That's the Al Mason designed, Joel Johnson built Ostkust that showed up here briefly as a 'for sale' post. As that's a no-no it was removed. This boat is just like my Talisman, maybe a few years older. I wonder if that's the type of engine my boat used to have.
The Ostkust has been described as an American Folkboat, though one folkboat owner I know hated racing against them as he always lost.
I don't know the condition of this boat but I know the high quality of the builder's work. Search on Ostkust and Talisman to see lots more threads and pics of this design.

Looks like a good project if the rig is in good shape. She seems to be sitting awfully far back on the trailer; you could almost launch her from a boat ramp like that, but I don't think I'd want to tow it very far.

I've been eyeing that trailer setup for my Ostkust. It costs me $225 to haul in the spring and another $225 in the fall. If I could buld a trailer like that for, say, $2000, it'd pay for itself in four years. Something to think about.
