A new milestone was reached tonight. The kids and I just rolled hull paint onto our Weekend Skiff. (I haven't had a chance to update the web site lately. We've been spending too much time building.)

I'll post pictures when we get home and I can download them from the camera.

We bought a simple marine alkyd enamel from a local company that's been selling it for several decades. It should do for the kind of service we'll be needing.

We learned a lot from this first coat. There's some sags and brush lint, but it's astounding when you step back and just look at what you've created...

There's been a lot of awed looks on kids' faces tonight.

All the folks on the forum get a big share of the credit for what we've done. Without your help I wouldn't have learned enough to get this far.

Thank you.

Mike
