    Default Tim Nolan's Heather

I just adore this little boat! (Notice the unabashed use of the exclamation point). She is soooo what I had envisioned in my mind's eye. I had no idea anyone had actually designed such a boat until I stumbled across it while randomly googling. But I want one about 3 or 4 feet longer. I wonder if he would sell plans for it?

What if I increased the font size and used the bold and underline edit options?

You could throw some italics and underlines in there!!!

The boat is cute!! Looks better with the sails down!! What would you do with it? (Damn!! I don't know what to do with a question mark here.)

Question marks can be tricky. They take patience and experience. You can't rush them. I would draw up a junk rig for the boat, anyway. Never did like the idea of those big headsails.

I'd like to use a question mark like they do in Espanol but can't find an upside down one on my keyboard anywhere!!

O.K. JimD. I'm giving the game away here that i'm NOT a nubee like I might have made out I was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (you're surprised aren't you)........ but you've posted many times about these small cruising type boats, mentioned that you've bought plans etc. etc. etc.

Do you think you are going to find the ultimate!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and build it or is this just your version of the game we are all playing? (note boring use of question mark.)

    Dear Tattooed one,

You're not a newbie??? I have to say somewhere in my gut I knew I'd felt your presence before. Firstly, I think there are ways to set up your keyboard for foreign language keystrokes such as the inverted question mark but darned if I know how to do it.

Second, I really truly hope I can build one more pocket cruiser to replace the one I already have which is just a bit too small and too light displacement. And there's a 99% certaintly it will be an adaption of a Selway Fisher boat. Another possibility is Chuck's scow. And I want a wheelhouse, even a very small one, because I live in the Pacific North Wet, after all, and Mrs JimD would be so much happier to have a cheery, bright, dry place to sit and not feel entombed in a dark, cramped little cabin such as most little boats have. The honest truth is the only thing that's holding me back is I don't have the money for it, so I bide my time until the budget allows me to actually proceed. I have no illusions about ever owning or building a large boat so I think realistically I can do it. And thank you for letting me indulge myself as I do.

Tim does do that sort of thing for a living so your chances of getting plans are pretty good.(!) He and boat live in Port Townsend.
