I've been following this forum for awhile now and I'm getting close to buying some bottom paint. My boat is a 1970 19.5' plywood lapstrake Carver. It will be living on a trailer and used mostly in freshwater for 1-2 days, maybe as much as a week on occasion. I'm in the process of removing all the topside and bottom paint. I wanted a non-antifouling bottom paint, but they don't seem to exist. I'm considering Hydrocoat based upon what I've read in many of the posts here. I care mostly about the paints abrasion resistance for trailering and it's ability remain submerged for a few days. Would anyone care to steer me in another direction and/or suggest alternatives? Am I on the right track?
