    Default .....Airlea

I hope that got Jamies attention!

For the past few days I have been surfing the net looking for possible names for my new boat and I ran across this one: Airlea, from the ancient Greek, meaning “ethereal”.

Oh, and did I mention, naming a boat is hard!

I like it Don.. And no, I have never heard the word before...
The only problem with naming a boat at all especially with a name people don't know is that you are constantly explaining the name. Had that with Uncas all the time...
However, I like it.. especially as I know what it means...

Chuck.. a boat name has to have that umm attachment to the owner... It is not something that can be pulled out of a hat.

    Yeah Chuck!

Actually, I do have a short list of names I like, but SWMBO thinks we can do better. Go figure!

Anyway, a boat name is special and deserves serious consideration. For example, in another post, I mentioned that I might name my boat “Morning Star” and the dinghy “Twinkle”. Well, it wasn’t long before Twinkle the dinghy got reduced to Tinkle the leaky dink, or some such thing! No thanks in most part to Chuckles, the above. So, you see, you can’t be too careful. All is not as it first appears!
