    Thad;
    Are you sure you want to drag that all the way from PEI. It looks similar to one I've had in my mom's garage for over 20 years now. Can't find a manufacturer's plate or other identification though. They're a monster for sure.

    No, I don't wanna do that...

    I do want a monster bandsaw, but I have been trying to find one around here. I just thought others a bit closer might be interested...

    I had my eyes on the shipsaw from dorchester shipyard, but the wierd guy that has it wouldn't sell it for a reasonable amount of money... I wanted it to sit in his garden rusting...

    People can be funny that way,Thad. Rather watch something rust into the ground than take a reasonable offer. The one I have has sat,inside, since I bought it. It came out of a sawmill operation and was geared up with a flat belt run off a car engine. It's not a ship saw, tilting table, but make me an offer and mayby Jamie could pick it up next trip up this way. I think it's one of those projects I may never get around to.

    Thad;
    Sorry,had to go to work for a bit. Well, if you're interested I could pop out and take some pics. It's big and heavy and real basic but I believe all the parts are there. Heck, just come for a visit.

    They are pretty easy to find in CT. I can think of a few for sale at the moment. Fay & Eagan (sp?), Crescent and the other names I'm familar seeing I think its Marvel. As the industrial areas are turned into apartments the stuff gets auctioned and what does not sell goes to the scrap dealers.

    Heres one taking place Saturday.

    If the planer and joiner have round cutter heads I may put a bid in.

    That mortising machine is a work of art!

    It's a shame to see a place like that close it's doors...
