Default Kirbys paint & lumber in southern california

    Hi all,
Is this product legal in california? If so, is there a stockist here? Would it be illegal to get it posted to me from a friend on the east coast?

Also can anyone reccomend a good lumber yard for long clear lengths of honduras mahogany in Southern California? Im looking for a single 14' x 12" x 3/4' length.

    Regards,
    J.

No, No, and prosecution would be wildly unlikely. ;0 )

Try ordering it from Kirby's directly -- I did.

Is the lumber for a boat or building? Price/quality range? Grain orientation?

I've gotten excellent service from House of Hardwood, 2143 Pontius Avenue, Los Angeles; 310-479-4196; www.houseofhardwood.com, over the years.

If you are near San Diego, you can try Frost lumber or "The Hardwood and Hardware company" for the mahogany.

In Carson, near L.A. is Penberthy Lumber. I have delt with them for 40 years. Good supplier of teak and mahogony. They are extremely fair to deal with! A three generation family owned Co.

As far as I know, George Kirby, Jr. Paint Company sells factory direct only. Not aware it can be obtained thru other sources.
