In Aug. 1990 Wooden Boat did an article on Chip Stulen called the Bjorkedal connection showing the same as you post. It was a 16' Faering. He is in Sutton Bay, Michigan. I thought it was very interesting building technigue. Is that the same as the web site you show?
Hi BB.
It is common clinker or lapstrake construction as is the faering by Chip.
The Faering is a Norwegian type of boat, this boat is Swedish.
As I remember it, Chip cut some corners by eliminating the rabbets in the stem and sternpost which, in my opinion, is bad practice.
In the old days a boat like this was usually built with only one mould or even without moulds.
Ola.
Heh, I kept a 'zipper on my lipper' for you to get things right on that photo posting.
Nice little craft, thanks for the info.
