Morning Doug. Coffee and bacon please. Have you heard from Bruce Hooke? Is he coming to your EBS?
I never learned from a man who agreed with me.
I haven't seen Bruce around at all..... I think someone gave him a call, but not sure. I don't have his phone #..... Carter was just asking me last night if we needed a sourdough pancake station for Saturday morning.....
Noey is in charge of bacon, Gareth has control of the eggs, Carter is renting a 55 cup coffee urn..... I'm supposed to be doing something...... Bauers are in charge of Bloody Marys..... Wes is bringing Bagels, Biallys, and gross stuff to put on them..... I mean good stuff to put on them!![]()

I guess everyone's sleeping in.......
OK...
Today we have fresh linguini and Divers scallops, with basil pesto made with macadamia nuts (It's really good..... Different from pine nut pesto, not as creamy, but spectacular flavor!), served with garlic bread and a small crisp garden salad.... Sophie and Chip can pick the scallops out and put them on my plate....
Marinated pork medallions stir fried with broccoli raab, scallions, and pickled ginger. Served over jasmine rice.
Grilled butterflied leg of lamb with a garlicy olive oil rub, and rosemary.... Served with herbed new potatoes, steamed asparagus, and a small garden salad.
Cow tongue sandwich on wheat, with seedy brown mustard, and onion. Served with fries and a pickle.
Special on tap: Old Thumper

Excellent!
(Do tell Bruce, if you talk to him, that we're hoping he can make the EBS...... Pancake batter or no....)

Morning folks, had to get suff done early, it is already 82°f. So I will just sit around a while and keep cool.

For those with a moral conscience
for Bobby and the others who like their Mexican food.
We offer our vegan chilli with extra jalapenos for the more discerning members.
Vegan burritos, they have sunripened tomato and olive "sausages', olives, beans, cilentro, salsa and our special chilli sauce.
Stuffed capsicums, they have tempeh, sunripened tomato, olives, beans, rice and mushrooms with cilentro and chilli.
Your choice of beers to go with it.
or you can go with Lefty's carrion based offerings
Lefty used to offer vegetarian choices but I think he caught some of Aldo's rash and got grumpy or maybe all this EBS thing has got him worn out and the partying hasn't even started yet!
I have a moral conscience. I also have struggled long and hard to be at the top of the food chain, too!
The stuffed peppers sound good, 'tho.

I think this Mezcal kinda goes flat with out the worm. Well at least I can still have limes with it.![]()

Aldo, are you around? seems everyone else is busy. I got some doggie treats here, my pups really like them. Does your daddy let you drink beer? Got some of that too. If ya need somebody to give ya a scratch, just let me know.

I found my morals unconscious on the bathroom floor one morning, around 4AM.....
And despite the hairy boar on the label.... "Old Thumper" is vegan beer......![]()

Aldo's waiting for Carter to get back from the store.....
But, yes...... I'm being run ragged here, and I haven't even started marinating the ribs yet..... I did test out the outdoor shower with it hooked up to both hot, and cold water, and it's....... Fine..... Better than some showers I've had in the Caribbean, not what you'd call "high pressure" though.......
Ad on that note, I have a wheel barrow full of stuff that needs dealing with..... Aldo's helping.....

So, Lefty. Did you get the net cam hooked up for the outdoor shower? So you can stream video of ol' P-Less scrubbing up?
I'll have a vegan burrito. And, in the name of diversity, some scallops. A glass of Congress Springs viognier (Lodi, CA) and I'll be in heaven with my feets hangin' out.
Cloudy and rather cool this morning, so I did a lot of weeding and a soaker hose refit. After which, I worked on the upgraded motor mount. Found a couple old pieces of oak in the scrap bin. Just the sort of low-key tinkering I like. A few small ops on the research cat frame this afternoon, and it'll be ready to haul to the warehouse in town.
Feels like it might rain. That'd be nice.
A little rain and cool weather would be good. All you got to do is look at my maters and they fall off the plant. Okie weather, gotta love it.

Don't even have maters on the plants here..... Barely have plants.... Slugs got all the lettuce, spinach, arugula, mustard, and half the basil....
And yes, Chip...... The Pless-vision407-R is in place.....![]()

Okie weather would kill me. My preferred temp range = cool, colder, subzero.
On the subject of meat, no one's played this for a while—
Does a dog have morals? Or Buddha Nature?
Another glass of viognier, amigo.
Time for my favourite rock guitar solo of all time: Larry Carlton.
Well after Sophie broke Glens heart, he has made himself pretty scarce.

At the lower end of the scale, here are some guys with guitars, on their way to Lefty's—
Aldo, don't run away. I got some really good steak, your daddy does not know how to fix them like I do.

Hey BobbyT how are you doing? helping Aldo out I see. Are you sure he's allowed to do that, he's still only a pup![]()
I'm off the grape-juice, it's apple-juice for me now. Speights Cider thanks.
Couldn't sleep last night, 130kmh wind-gusts. And it's cold, and there's snow about.
I'm moving to Connecticut.......I hear it's like paradise there........and there's hardly any earthquakes.
We don't know how lucky we are....
We had winds like that today.... Before they picked up.....
I had the barn looking like the Taj Mahal...... Then a friend came over and needed to use the saw....... So I made him go pick up the ribs...... 42Lbs. of beautiful spare ribs (not baby backs) all ready to get rubbed down, and put in the goop over night, and then cooked to perfection in the smoker.......
B-dub's wild Alaskan shrimp have arrived at the store (Of course they showed up 10 minutes after my friend picked up the ribs, but they can stay in the walk-in down there until Friday..... I hope....), and the screens in Margo's suite have been washed..... I still need to vacuum her bed sheets, and pillows.... But I can do that tomorrow before she arrives....
And now I'm going to cook Carter some dinner..... She just baked lemon poppy seed cakes, and spice cakes, so I need too kick her out of the kitchen.....
Bobby, you stop teaching Aldo/Waldo bad habits! Beer drinkin's fine.... But no steak dammit!![]()

So how did Sophie break Glen's heart? I scroll back to see what's going on, but I missed that.
We got a paltry 0.03" of rain. Better than nothing, I guess. Sun's out again and I'm keen for a whacking big G & T, with two twists, in an insulated mug. Are you off gin as well, Seanz?
Here's a band I'd not heard before, and I like 'em: nice, raw sound with some punk feeling and a touch of Janis in the vocals.
Love pups, he can have anything he wants, They tend to treat me better than most people.![]()
