Polish horses?
The wind knocked out the internet connection again last night.... Funny the connection went bad, but the power stayed on.
It's not cold this morning. It's damned cold this morning, and the cat decided to sleep by the wood stove instead of keeping my feet warm.
Today we have hot minestrone with traditional Italian bread, and lightly salted butter.
3 cheese tortellini, in a fra diavolo sauce, served with garlic bread and a small side salad.
Grilled Teriyaki boneless pork chops with mashed potatoes, and steamed baby peas in butter.
Beer battered chicken fingers, with our signature ginger/honey mustard dipping sauce.
Hot roast beef on lightly toasted rye, with, gooey melted Swiss cheese, mayonnaise, roasted sweet red peppers, onions, tomato, lettuce, and horse radish. Served with fries and a big kosher pickle.
Special on tap: Safari Lager

Just got off the phone with Margo. She says "Hi!" And apologizes for not stopping in, but says she's been busy, busy, busy.
I think she's just been practicing her jumping out of a cake thing in preparation for the EBS in June.....

Hey all how they hangin? Cold out here, well not real cold but cold for here. Minooooos 7 Celciusogical so whazat like ... 18 farenheight? Somthin like that but the good news its comming to an end and we'll be back to west coast rain. But not before a bunch of snow on frozen pavement switching to freezing rain. Brilliant. Anyways, any of them peanuts left or did you hosers eat the whole sack? A bowl of yesterdays beef and barley sounds awesome. Soup is so much better day 2 and usually cheaper. And I'll take a warm guinness. Only cause its actually too damn cold for ice cold beer for this hombre..
Polish horses? That's just messed up. I think more skis and tobagans when I think old world transport in Poland. Maybe they traded the Spaniards for a horse or two? Don't ask me I was too lazy to study much history. What little I know in that dept is mostly from stories and such.
Good News!
I've graduated. Went for my radiation appointment today - then had a long talk with the doc. He said I actually held up longer than most to the radiation. The nurse told me that - in 8 years - they've only had one person manage the full 30 treatments. Add in the fact that my throat cancer came from HPV, not smoking, (and is therefore less aggressive and less prone to recurrence) and he sent me out the door with a good prognosis and hearty congratulations. First followup visit in two weeks. Not out of the woods, yet, though. The side-effects continue to accrue for another 1-3 weeks before they start to fade. I'm feeling MUCH relieved to have reached this point, anyway!
A round for the house! Hell... let's even wake up Lefty and pour something into him!

Congratulations David!
Congratulations Salty!
Congratulations Seanz!
Congratulations ..... Err...... Ummmmmm.........
Congratulations everyone!
No..... No more of those peanuts....... BUT!
We have new different un-eaten peanuts! And they're warm out of the oven, and crunchy, salty yummy-ness in a shell!
It's snoring here..... Not looking forward to shoveling snore..... I think we need to bring that radiation zapper dealie over here, David, and see how it does on clearing out the driveway.....
It did such a good job on yer uvula... (And now that you say that you got that bug from HPV instead of smoking, it makes sense that you have one of those in yer throat...... Just like wattzername in that movie..... Linda Lovelace!)

Wow..... I kinda liked that music.... Did I scare everyone away?

Hell no your Lefyness, no. Great tunes. You know I remember back a few years back not too long after you opened up the pub and we'd play music all night long almost. I remember you saying one Thursday night that Thursday was the new Friday when a particular good Thursday night erupted in the pub. Ah, good times.
Anyways, for some reason I feel like a jug of sangria. Lots of ice and spice. Actually make it 6 jugs and a bunch of glasses look at the crowd come in. .
I dunno, sometimes you gotta be at one with the pain. Its all around us anyway ^^
That guy's got an arm growing out of his armpit.
It's Friday..... Real Friday, not "Little Friday"...
It's been spitting snow all night, and it's supposed to continue off and on until Saturday afternoon..... A sweet 6-7 inches of fluffy, white, HELL!
Oh well.... This time last year we already had about 3' of the Devil's dandruff.
Today we shall feed off the backs off our own labor.
There's a hearty beef bourguignon, served with fresh out of the oven (Have you all noticed the bee hive bread oven?) crusty bread and butter.
Hot leek and potato soup.
Fried chicken with mashed potatoes, and steamed asparagus.
1 1/2Lb. boiled lobsters with steamed artichokes drowned in lemon butter, and fresh hand cut fried potatoes.
Sweet and sour baby back pork ribs with white rice, and stir fried mixed veggies.
Special on tap: Moretti Lager.

Cool tunes L man. Makes me wish I didn't give up playing the trumpet. The only subject I ever got an A in was high school band, even made the inner city stage band in my home town which only had around 30,000 people in it so it wasn't tooo hard. LOL. Bud alas, chicks dug guitar players and not trumpet players in the 70s so the novelty wore off....
Stuck on our lil island today the jam tarts won't run the ferry till hopefully 3 pm. What's 50 to 60 knot winds between friends, I'd give it a whirl. Luckily they don't let me run the boat.
RIP Etta James. Great pipes and a hard life.
That Italian swing band was cute but they didn't quite have their act together. The bass player was particularly annoying.
Check this out. She's a Canadian with an Italian name, and swings like crazy—
Here is some swing for Mr.Skiff![]()

Wonder where the Wolfman is? Glen you around? I guess that ChrisBen must have checked out. I miss that guy. Ya, I miss Mr.7 and Geno too. Kind of a birds of the feather thing I guess.

Say Hey, Bobster! Great lashings of drink for all.
That tractor is an excellent rhythm section. Is it a Massey-Ferguson? Doesn't quite look like a Farmall or Ford (or are the two last ones the same? That's all the red tractors I know.
This guy's a hot picker. Another white-bread Scandinavian tryin' to be Django. And he pretty near gets there.
The main thing about a rhythm section is it has to be rock steady. That gives the soloists room to move.
A little practice and he might get good. How are ya tonight?

In Heaven with my feets hangin' out.
The Wolf Goddess bought some Dover sole filets and I just cooked 'em up in a very trad way (she grew up Catholic and I usually cook fish on Fridays, even though she eats whatever) with a butter/sauv blanc/saffron sauce. Bottle of Kim Crawford Sauv Blanc.
Scarily warm today, after a nice snowstorm. I spent the afternoon cutting parts for a solar hot air collector space heater thing (see the Greenhouse Update thread) that I'm making out of scrap from the greenhouse and other projects. Can't work on the boat. Gotta do something.
How's by you?
Now that the old geezers have passed out, lets take over the jukebox. . .
I never learned from a man who agreed with me.
Penetrate, desecrate, etc. Ugh. What do you expect from someone named Trent?
What next, Plessner? Marilyn Manson? Eminem?
I'll restate: Glad to have you in the PUB, Paul, but could you indulge in a bit of friendly gab before subjecting us to Trent Reznor's malignant psychosexual pathology?
