Gotta wonder what those people who think that just any chunk of wood will make just as good a guitar as any other think of that guitar that Willie plays.
I asked a friend, who is a world renowned guitar repairer/restorer about the wear hole in the top. His answer was "Lots of guitars have more than one hole in the top."

OK... I'm out the door. See if you can talk Margo into ordering pizza... She's good at that!

Hi BobbyT. Would you like to try some of my lox when it's done? I'll paint the salmon with a mixture of brown sugar and good brandy and let it soak for the day and then cold smoke it for a bit...
Hope you're feeling better. How about a cuppa coffee with a shot of brandy?

They call it the "Aussie Grin." On a sheepdog, that is. When an Aussie bloke grins like that, look out. He's about to uncork a barney.
Set up a round for lads (and the lasses, if they happen in to bless the house with their presence). And a virtual tequila for the Bobster, smuggled in on the aetheric plane.
The solar installers showed up with the correct parts and went at it, hammer and tongs.
I offered to help, but they didn't care for any, so I was off like a shot to sail again. What a grand sort of day, with the trees molten gold and the sky a pure blue that put heaven to shame, and the wind so sweet and perfect that I almost thought I was back in the GodZone.
I regret many deeds in this life, but I cannot recall ever having regretted the decision to go sailing.
Bobster, you staunch bugger— I was thinking of you and wishing you the best.

BobbyT and others, here is the final nicely glazed, cold smoked lox. Now to slice it so thin you can read through the slice.

I think it may have something to do with all the years of growing up with cats.... And cat food... "Kalo Salmon Buffet".... ICK!
It's not raining. Yet. Supposed to be cool, rainy and windy this evening through the weekend. The mildew problem has reached a critical mass. I NEED to eradicate it somehow. But it never stops raining, so every time I do something, like wipe everything down with a diluted bleach solution, it just comes back, because it never dries out. The cork floor in the big room is pretty much destroyed by moisture. Curled up, buckling, mildew stained. Anything with upholstery is damp, and stinky. The ceilings are speckled with dark gray mildew blooms.
But enough about that. It's Friday, and it's fairly mild (If soggy) out. Let's fire up the grills on the back porch and damn the fungi!
Slow smoked full sized pork spare ribs with a zesty molasses and vinegar based glaze.
Rotisserie leg of lamb, with rosemary mint baste.
Boneless rib eye steaks, thick cut chuck steaks, and marinated flank steaks.
Butterflied whole roaster chickens marinated in Thai seasonings, turkey drumsticks and wings (The wings have a sweet and zippy glaze, or a honey/bourbon barbeque sauce.), and whole rotisserie pheasants.
Tuna steaks, cut a full inch thick, straight up, or marinated in white wine, tarragon, and lemon juice. Piles of never frozen St. Augustine shrimp, and buckets of out famous cocktail sauce.
clams, mussels, and bay scallops.
Fresh hot baked beans, pasta salad, corn on the cob, crisp garden salad, coleslaw, and greek salad.
Chocolate pudding pie, Apple crisp, Apple pie a la mode, angel food cake with orange cream icing.
Special on tap: Sebago Brewing Co. Frye's Leap IPA
