Nope. But I was aching in every muscle and pretty well knackered last night and didn't feel like doing the photo-posting drill.
For being rude to Phillip Allen, infamous button-pusher, Big Brother Scot blotted my Hello Pub message, so at this point no one knows what you're talking about. (It was meant to be rude. Nice to be understood, for a change.)
I'll whip out a few pix, when I get past lunch, but the air was smoky and I couldn't capture any stunning scenic views.
Forgot to order a beer. Nice long pull of Guinness should put me in the catbird seat, and thank you very much.
Well Chip, I really hope you will tell me bout your adventure. Forgive my spelling and punctuation. I have not been in a class room for forty years or more. I kinda live through you guys story.

It's good to be rude every so often..... Cleans out the spleen, and gall bladder.....
Boy could I be rude right now about accountants, landscape companies, and plumbing supply places......
But instead, I'll go jury rig a brand new flush handle/extension rod so that it more or less works by the time Carter gets home from work......

I read something on this forum some years ago that someone posted. Prolly from someone trying to help someone that would not listen. something to the effect of Now someone else will sail their boat and someone else will sleep in their bed. Think about it dude.

Yeah..... I know..... Gotta slow down and smell the hops......
But everything takes 5 times as long as it used to, so I get less done, and spend more time doing it, and it's frustrating as hell.....
One day soon I'll just take an entire day off to slouch around, and do nothing but visit, and drink beer, and eat pizza..... Real soon I think..... That sounds good!![]()

Sent a couple of squirrels to therapy this evening, at Carter's request.....
Seems like they just all reappeared all of a sudden..... Do squirrels migrate?

Maybe you're on one of their ancestral migration routes? Perhaps if you move your house 12' to the West they'll by-pass your roof completely.
Go on, it's worth a try.

A fat Tucker or a skinny Tucker? Maybe a sneaky Tucker? Or a blindingly fast down wing Tucker?

Tucker!!!!??
I never even kissed her!!! I swear!
Coffee's good..... But we need more.
I have an eye surgery pre-op exam this morning, and I want to make sure my blood pressure is properly elevated....

Indeed, it's a sunny morning, and although it's a bit chilly, it looks like it has promise to be a pretty nice day.
So while I'm busy rearranging the patio furniture out by the pool, why don't you all peruse the daily specials board....
Fresh, sweet, shiny black Mussels in a rustic ragout of chopped San Marzano tomatoes, diced red onion, sweet vermouth, garlic, shallots, and basil. Served over fresh angel hair pasta, with crusty Italian bread and butter.
Bone in pork chops grilled over hardwood charcoal, served with hand cut fried potatoes, and sweet corn on the cob.
Chicken thighs, marinated in a bitter sweet chocolate mole, and lime juice/brown sugar goop. Grilled over hardwood blah, blah, de blah, with a crisp cucumber, red onion, and tomato salad with balsamic vinaigrette.
Special on tap: Lone Star

OK..... Well..... Clearly the aroma from the hog fat rendering facility that moved in 2 doors down is having an effect on the early crowd here.....
Chip..... You gonna tell that story, or shall we all just wait for JB's novel to be made into an epic film starring taut young actors that none of us have ever heard of, but are "Trending Now" on Yahoo?.....
While you're deciding, I'm gonna go vacuum the cat, and get ready to visit the Dr.....

I wuz all set.
I had the day off work.
I had the bait, I had the gear, I had the boat ready to roll.
I had a couple of 12yr olds, just itching to fill a bucket with fish.
I even had the weather on my side.
But then I had a babygirl screaming all night long.
Ear infections.
Coffee, quite Irish, if you please.

Irish coffee..... O'Coffee, or McCoffee?
Irish coffee is properly made in much the same manner as a proper martini..... One pours a cup of strong black coffee, and a tumbler of Tillamore Dew. You pass the cup of coffee over the top of the tumbler of Whiskey on it's way to the sink drain....
Repeat as necessary...
OK, I'm off to have my eyes examined..... I shall return, with tales of brave Ulysses....

oh, and it occurs to me that I might not have actually said this yet; that ginger beer is NICE.
I'm out of rum, gotta stop on the way home and get some to do it justice.
Is the recipe somewhere here in the Pub Archives? My kitchen could use a 70/30 chance at redecoration.

Pain meds, no...... They put stuff in my eyes and said "You need to come back next week for surgery, goodbye! And sent me out the door blind as a freakin' bat..... The effects are starting to wear off now..... No way in hell I should have driven myself home from that office......

G'day, Figgy, David, Kevin, Gareth. Also Leftino Rosso.
I think I'll post the Snake River pics and descripto in the Misc.Boat Related section. Still moving slowly and carefully, but I did in my regular exercises this morning and my back seems to be recovering from six straight days of rowing. My friend Colin floated the Colorado River from source (in Wyoming) to the peter-out in Mexico at 69. So I'm ashamed of myself for being such a fragile flower.
Here's what I did this morning:
I love digging spuds. These are Yukon Gold, and turned out pretty well. The tops were dying back, so there wasn't a reason to leave them in the ground longer. The Moon Cat decided to inspect the harvest:
No idea why he was sticking out his wee tongue. Didn't see him lick the spuds. Cats are a mystery.
I'll have a pastis, so I can imagine myself in France. With a beauty across the table.
There's more to life than spuds. . .
Last time they put "the drops" in my eyes at the eye doc's, I had to ride my bike home.
It's was a three mile ride, through the dark, the ghetto and through light fluffy, wet snow, with huge, floating flakes.
I just went Really slowwwww, God was with me.![]()
