Anybody ever notice that it manages to rain just before you want to mow the grass?

Coffee, yes. And I think some homefries, a few rashers of Wiltshire cure, scrambled eggs, a few grilled tomatoes and mushrooms, a sausage or two and some toast would be great. I could eat half a horse this morning.

Yes. As a matter of fact, I've noticed that lately it rains just before, during, and after I want to do just about anything....
It's pouring rain, and down right chilly this morning.
At least the high winds stopped around 10 last night.

Yanno......... I got old friends of Carters to come up for a nice cook out, post birthday, get together for her...... And it's pouring freakin' rain..... Now what am I gonna do with a bunch of fat old smelly reformed alcoholics, if I can't just prop them up on the back porch, and put burger flipping implements in their hands?...... I guess we could sit in front of the TV and watch Lethal Weapon 3, except the satellite TV thingy doesn't work in weather like this either.....

It got un-rainy for a couple of hours, so I went out to skewer slugs for a bit.... And I put up a little rain deflector to help channel the run off away from the house in one spot. And I helped the neighbor set up tables for his big church party he's having tomorrow... OK, I watched while he and his brother (Chief of police here in town) set up the tables, and kept my mouth shut.....
And now Carter's friends are arriving, so I have to go be sociable for a bit....
But I did get those recipes from Carter, and I'll try to post them later on....
And a new one too.... A zucchini lemon poppy seed bread.... I despise zucchini, but this is good stuff, and it uses up zucchini.
