Sufferin succotash, I freakin hate doin this. Got back to the boat yesterday and one of the A/C units was shutdown, means not gettin enough water flow through the raw water strainer. I just cleaned it thoroughly on Sat. How in hell did it get clogged up so fast? Piling guy had to replace two pilings in the slip next to me. They set them with a water jet, raisin clouds of silt, just feet away from the through hull intake.
Just enough room ta wiggle down on ma knees and slide my butt in there.


It's down there somewhere, ah yes, under the freakin engine and 1 foot lower than my knees.


Plugged up and half full of silt.




Cleaned out, then rig up the shop vac to blow the line and through hull clear.




Don't dare turn it on yet, piling guy has to check the pilings on the other side where some guy whacked into one.

Here's a better shot. The blue lines on the upper left are the A/c units water discharge, not sure about the others. The outlet is actually above the waterline.

Back to straight sun and 85 on the shade thermometer right now, I'm getting used to it by now but wasn't liking this too much a month ago being pastey ol nawthern boy. ..
