I mowed the mud on Monday..... It's growing so fast it needs to be done again already.... Not gonna happen today though.... Matter of fact, it looks like it's going to rain straight through until Saturday night, or Sunday.... Oh joy...
I really need to find a place in the Dry Tortugas or something....

84° here already, headed to 105f.

When people mow here it looks like a dust cloud going around their yard.![]()

Same thing here, but it's because the rain bashes the blades of grass down so they're lying in the mud, then when the sun comes out for a few hours, the blades spring back up, but the dried scum of mud still clings to the grass. When the mower blade hits the grass blade, the dried mud gets knocked off. Because it's such fine, silty mud (Because all the good vegetable matter has been washed away in the incessant rain), it instantly turns to dust. It's weird to be squishing through muddy lawn, watching yourself make ruts in the mud, and at the same time be creating a dust storm.

Morning Sophia. Would you do me a favor, and just keep all this damned damp British weather over there?..... We had enough of it last year to last a lifetime, and this year isn't much better.....

It has come to the attention of the landlord, that we're closing rapidly in on 80,000 views here in The PUB....

Yeah..... I did miss that extra zero.... Sorry..... How can I make that up to y'all?..... A couple of free beers do it?...
Today we have a silky smooth jambalaya. Chicken, shrimp, chorizo (I use chorizo instead of andouille so it's not so spicy hot, you can always dose it up, you can't tame it down.) green and red peppers, dirty rice, onion, butter, garlic, celery, and piles of spices and stuff..... The butter is what makes it so silky.
There's also grilled rib eye steak sandwiches on lightly toasted rye, with mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomato. Served with fries and a giant dill pickle.
Grilled Bratwurst, with baked beans, and fries.
And finally, Hearty mushroom/barley soup, served with fresh out of the brick oven, crusty bread and sweet creamery butter.
Special on tap: Royal Extra Stout.

G'morning, all.
To pay for my blissful sail yesterday, I got up early and ran the trimmer on the steep slope below the house, which is tortuous, what with the tufts and loose rocks, etc. Just swooshed out my sinuses and blooped some eyedrops in— my eyes feel like they were sprinkled with ground glass. Hope I can avoid the allergy pills, which I hate.
Also dug up some radishes.
Ain't they beauts?
Very nice radishes.Mine did not do well at all, they just went to tops. I been in the kitchen cookin up up some for real jambalaya.

I need to hear more bout this jambalaya. A rough recipe woule be nice, don't need exact details I don't know how to measure all that well anyway![]()
What is this recipe thing of which you speak? For this I made today, I used chicken thighs, country style rib meat and andouille sausage. chop that up and brown it in a skillet, bout ten minutes or so, chop up an onion some celery a bell pepper and a tomato. Sautee the onion, celery and pepper till the are tender add the maters put every thing in a pot add about four cups of chicken broth, bullion cube or what ever you have, Also a couple of bay leaves and some cajun seasoning add a cup of rice and boil for about 30 minutes. I thought the cajun stuff was way to hot so I used salt, pepper, oregano,Thyme and some paprika. Worked out good for me. Also I had a Single wide I.P.A by Boulevard brewing co.
