You-tube is not working for some reason.
Aussie and Kiwis definitely sound different. If seanz has been in NZ for very long then most Aussies probably think he's a foreigner from over the ditch.
How is everyone today?

Morning Erica, Ernie, Seanz, Chip, Bobby-san ((((((((((((((GONNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG)))) ))))))))))))))))))!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
CB, Dan. Noey, Alan, Sophie..... Morning...
So..... There was a great flash of lightning, a tremendous clap of thunder, and a sudden downpour of rain that sounded like the hooves of the 3 horsemen of the apocalypse on the roof..... And then standing in the doorway, orange cooler full of fresh NYC bagels and biallys, we find Wes (LongIslandBoy).... Quite the dramatic entrance at 7:15AM!
Carter's off to the store, the Boss is down playing on her tablet, and I'm about to get out there in the mud, and the blood, and the beer, and start up the smoker for the ribs.....
But first..... We have all grills on deck! There's marinated butterflied leg of lamb, smoked pork spare ribs, thick cut chuck steaks, chicken parts, Fresh Swordfish steaks, clams casino, shrimp, lobster salad sandwiches, pasta salads, potato salads, ice cream salads, and chilled watermellon.....
Special on tap: Bert Grant's Lazy Days Pale Ale.
Get on up and shake that thang! It's Friday, and it's day 1.5 of Margo's EBS!!!!
Never trust a man with a clean workshop.
How can you possibly put that awful rendition up, here is the real thing.
I keep getting knocked off-line..... So it's not that I'm ignoring you, Gareth, it's just that I'm ignoring you, and making creative excuses for it.....![]()

Yuck! How does a vegan come to be exosanguinary? One of those really weird spa treatments? Standing too close to a boxing ring?
Sounds loik the EBS is in full swing. Owroit! Throw some shrimps on the barbie and gimme a Fosters, myte.
(Kiwis pronounce it shrumps. And they wouldn't drink Foster's on a bet.)
Elf, Ian McColgin, and Keith Wilson have arrived.
Never trust a man with a clean workshop.
Got so wound up that I forgot to post a garden pic for Bobster.
These are row covers to protect stuff from the hot sun and wind. The one in front has space around the edges for ventilation. The rear one has open ends. I pulled the front one (covering zucchini, yellow squash, and melons) half off to transplant more stuff and the exposed plants started to wilt.
The potatoes (in the rear bed) are coming back nicely from the frost.
The hoops are 1/2" PEX radiant heat tubing mounted in 1/2" pipe brackets screwed to the bed frames. Contractors who install radiant floor heat have scraps, since they like to use continuous pieces with no joints, to minimise leaks. So I got the PEX for free.
The garden looks good, and I have some pex left over from an old job I did. I never throw anything away. I may never find it, but I have it.

It's mostly just these two now.

In Auck, we lived at the top of Carlton Gore Road, in Grafton, in whiffing distance of the massive Lion Breweries plant. After hiking past many times on a hot day, to buy groceries in Newmarket, I can't stomach any Lion brew.
Hey Chip, here is a picture of an ugly tomater. It is not quite ripe, but it fell off the vine today.![]()
"para todo mal, mezcal, y para todo bien también" (for everything bad, mezcal, and for everything good, as well.)
That's a Hereford Bull Tomato. One of those knobby old heirlooms, I reckon. Put it in a paper bag for a few days and you'll have a treat.
Lefty's up to his neck in folks and likely boozing pretty hard. I wish him & Carter luck with the EBS, and pray that ol' P-Less doesn't start in on politics. Or Kat, on who's boring.
Here's something rather not boring:
Pretty quiet in here. Good time for a tune.
I have a soft spot for Leslie F.
I love the way Peaches (in the bright pink) keeps dragging her back to earth.
I like the taste of the heirlooms, but they don't keep as well as the hybrids. I try to eat them as soon as I slice them. I don't care much for them if you try to refridgerate them, they tend to get soft.

Got go take the dogs out, and get me some rest.
"para todo mal, mezcal, y para todo bien también" (for everything bad, mezcal, and for everything good, as well.)
Coffee, avocado on thick chunks of homemade bread lightly toasted, a dash of tabasco of course. OJ, soy yoghurt and more coffee!
A quiet breakfast with a bit of Jordi Savall in the background and rain showers outside, a bit of sun about.
Maybe I should play it up loud and wake up some people! Lefty's probably not in a state to take it kindly so maybe I'd better wait a bit.![]()
Any coffee left? If Not I guess I better make some.![]()

Top of the morning, Bobby and all. Here's hoping the weather is as fine as the company up at the gathering this weekend.
Seeing that Bobby, Skipper, Chris and a few others won't be making it to Mystic, I don't feel quite as bad about being unable to go, sniff. I guess we'll just have to hold down the bar here and wait, ahem, for pictures.

You would think the Pub owner would be posting pics in his Pub and lookin out for his regulars, or at least doing it out of sympathy for us or just to rub it in.![]()

Yea, and not just any old pics from previous events, either. We wan't the good ones . . . like Aldo licking someones face and drinking their tilted beer as they nap in a chair type of pics.
(You hearing this Lefty? Pics, or it didn't happen.)
My dogly needs to take me for my morning walk now . . . check back with you later.

I'll stand in for a bit. So what sort of tequila do we fancy today? And what brand of Texas beer? Here's a pan of green chile enchiladas and some tamales, and chips and two kinds of salsa.
The first motor mount was weak, so I built a new one from old oak (the bright-finished part). Now I have to buy a trolling motor to go with it.
Time to trot the doggo about the propitty. Enjoy the drinks. Back in a bit.

Thats a good lookin motor mount, did you not already have a motor for it? Was this one of those deals where, I got a good mount now I need a better motor?
"para todo mal, mezcal, y para todo bien también" (for everything bad, mezcal, and for everything good, as well.)
Ruby didn't see it (thank heaven) but there's a genuine gray squirrel (a tree-squirrel) in our narrow-leaf cottonwood. Cute little bugger. Most of our squirrels are ground-digging types that look like mini-prairie dogs. We also have chipmunks.
Ruby's no good at catching squirrels, but she loves to sit under a tree and stare bullets, as the squirrel mocks her from on high.
Moon Cat's another story. He brought in a mouse, unharmed, a week ago, intending to eat it later. This morning there was a baby rabbit under my worktable. Dodgy little monster. By the time I herded it out the door, my sailing window was gone. There are also baby wrens, reared in the wren house on our garage, now flittering about the bushes, so we put a big bell on his collar and are trying to keep him in during the day.
Lefty's off the the boat show, methinks. He was given a beautiful little cannon, turned from the prop shaft of his grandfather's boat— photos on the Margo's ebs thread in People and Places.
Just scrolled back. Hey Bobster. The motor I used belongs to the Uni, for the research cat, which I tested last week. After I tested the first version of the mount, I took it back to the warehouse 'til we go to the Snake in August. The 30-lb. motor only costs $100, so I'll probably pick one up. Or wait for a sale. No rush.
Dark Truth and mezcal, is it? Another round? Or shall we indulge in a siesta?
