Thats the way I like my coffee. I hear ya on the sleep thing. I don't know what it would be like to sleep all night with out waking every hour, to move some aching part or recover from some stupid dream.

It's a bright sunshiny morning, with <<<<<<< Shudder!>>>>>>>> frost all over every thing. it's 32f, and expecting a high of 50f today..... Gotta love freakin' "spring" in New England.
I woke up with the answer to a problem that's been plaguing me for the last week regarding the siding and flashing, and etc.... So despite the fact that I'm short handed, and need more materials, at least now I know how I think I'm going to solve this little issue.... So that's good....
And yes. Dan.... I've cut Redwood, and D-fir slash for firewood in No.Cal, so I understand about the lack of limbing...... If only they made decent firewood trees like giant telephone poles..... Certainly makes stacking the splits easier!

Cold, and no longer sunny.... actually quite dreary out suddenly.... So much for flashing the siding....
Today we have chicken cacciatorre, with steamed fiddlehead ferns and beautiful hand made egg noodles.
Hot stuffed peppers with lentils, rice, mushrooms, onion, and garlic.
Simple tomato soup, with open faced grilled cheese sandwiches and chips.
Grilled ribeye steak with a buttery baked potato (With chive flowers) and corn on the cob.
Special on tap: MacEwan's Scotch ale.

I brought my first real (As in my own, not my father's) chainsaw in to my bedroom that first night, just so it wouldn't be scared all by it's self out in the barn.... You know, away from all it's little brothers and sisters on the power equipment store shelves.... The little baby girl chainsaws are sooooooo cute!

Good-looking bows, Bobster. Wish I was patient enough to learn to shoot one. I've got a friend who bow-hunts for elk and deer. He said you have to learn to sit still for hours and let the critters come to you.

Just finished the last of the brush-cutting. Calloo! Callay! I've got to lop some prunings and add them to the pile. Might save the larger pieces— anyone know what to make out of Russian Olive? Beautiful red bark. Haven't worked any of the wood, but it looks pretty nice.

Done with the beer. Thought about sailing, but there are too many thunderheads up top. So, I'll go take a quick nap with the doggo— she's a champion snoozer.

Russian olive makes fine stove wood.... Pretty good for carving treen too.... Spoons and such.
Wait..... Maybe.... I'm assuming that what you call Russian Olive is what we call Russian Olive, or Autumn Olive.... The idiots at the DOT planted it all along I-95 as erosion control, and now it's an awful weed tree.....
