Pretty good. Just finished a nice lunch.....brown rice, with roast chicken, fresh cherry tomatoes and soy sauce.....cooked for me by my lovely partner. Nice Green Tea in a mug that says Keep Calm and Carry On, just to hand.
Been playing with bikes in the shed and doing good things for the two wheeled world.
And the demolitions down the road have finished.
Until the next one anyway........
Beer?

Beer! Got a little distracted there. Sounds like things are going ok for you.

Things aren't too bad. Got another car, so the car shopping is done for the forseeable future. Hurrah! But we're still playing the waiting game with the house rebuild. The report on foundation requirements for a lot of the houses that are to be rebuilt hasn't been released yet.
Waiting........
How are you BobbyT? Keeping as well as can be?

You're in my way, my friend!
Move over so I can reach that Tequila bottle over there and pour us a shot!
Thanks for those songs you played earlier. I got quarters if you feel like playing some more.
And I got cold Lone Stars if you want one.
If you have another bad night like last night, hang around here and I'll at least annoy you as much as I can!
I'll listen to any of those Texas singers you feel ike playing.
Do you know Steve Fromholz..."Dear Darcy"?

I can't tell if I'm feeling better, or worse, but whichever it is, it's making me cranky as hell.....
Tomorrow, I kill squirrels.
I decided to give my new eyes a try this afternoon, and the damage those furry gray bastards have done to both the house, and the barn is astounding. Why the hell are they gnawing on the freakin' house and barn siding?
Regardless..... If they come out in the daylight hours, and I'm outside, or can get outside quickly, they will die. I have the .22 loaded with shorts, and a clip with rat shot, and a clip with hollow point long rifles.... I have the 9 shot revolver loaded with HPLRs..... Death shall rain down upon them with a vengeance and fury they have not yet known in their short, furry lives.

Good on you, Lefty!
Kill the little bastids...kill em all!
I will kill any, and all squirrels that I can. I will not brake for them on the road, and if they wander into my yard, I will, given the opportunity, shoot them.

Lefty, Was it you that worked on the artist's studio with the sheet metal exterior?

There's some beer left, I hope, and a place to put my feet up and listen to an old Stan Rogers song?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations,

If you are referring to the Copper House, Doug, that was done by was Jim Ledger.
We have a very nice little glade of white oak trees in the back yard. Needless to say, we have a lot of squirrels. We also have a lot of birds, and we keep the feeders full, but it seems that the squirrels always seem get the best of it. I just cannot fathom how they can get to the feeders sometimes, nothing ever seems to be fully squirrel proof.
They are always out on the feeders as soon as the sun comes up, and when I let the dog out she lumbers after them. But I think that they almost laugh at her, she is so old and slow, and they are so nimble, scurrying up the tree trunks leaping and bounding in the branches.
But I do not harbor the visceral hate of squirrels that others seem to.
I will have a beer with Keith, too.
Steve Martinsen
..."the visceral hate of squirrels"...
Heheh! Me neither, Smart, but we don't have them in our attics, do we?
I've watched Lefty be driven batshyte crazy by squirrels.
Anybody got any popcorn?![]()
Thanks, Keith!
Never heard that but I'm not surprised since it's not very twangy!
The guy sure did die young, dangit!
Stan Rogers was very very good. I saw him a couple of times live when I was a lot younger. He died in a plane crash, IIRC.
This is probably his most famous song; The Mary Ellen Carter.

Do you think a Zen Buddhist Squirrel would like to be made one with everything?..... I could arrange that.....
And of course it's raining this morning, so I'm gonna have to hunt squirrels from the door way.

One of the unexpected side effects of getting my eye sight back is...... Now I can see all the damage to trees done over the last year of storms. I'm gonna need to get my feet to fit back into work boots if it ever dries out enough to cut wood.
Today we have spicy pork and shrimp spring rolls, with lots of pickled ginger. Served with a sweet dipping sauce, a sweet-n-hot dipping sauce, and Chuck's favorite "OH MY GOD! MY HAIRS ON FIRE!" hot dipping sauce.
Curried Lamb with safron rice, and a sauteed onion, wild mushroom, and asparagus medley.
Hearty black bean soup, with crusty fresh bread and butter.
Thick sliced Maple glazed baked ham, with boiled potatoes, crisp cucumber and onion salad and Russian pumpernickel bread and sweet cream butter.

Because now I can see all the fallen tops, and snags that I couldn't see before.
I also see a lot of stuff that needs clearing out.... I guess if I was a little younger, and didn't have tubes through my shoulder and into my heart I would be out there in the mud doing this stuff anyway, but it may not be prudent just now.

I knew that, just thought I would see what ya had to say. It was either that or play some more of that twang for Glen. I figgered if I wanted to stay in the Pub the question was the lesser of the two evils for you.![]()
