If you can smell the sugar, yer burning wood that's not quite dry..... Better be careful, burn it hot, and check yer flue....That stuff'll cause a chimley fire fast as Balsam if yer not careful.....

I think it's a perfect kinda day for a nice bowl of Kwame's peanut soup! With rice and extra hot sauce on the side.

I hate (And I really mean HATE HATE HATE) the search feature on this forum. I would call it the search function, except that it DOESN'T FUNCTION!
If anyone else has figured out how to bribe this stupid search thing to find "A Caribbean Saga" The one where I find my twin brother, and get robbed.... Not the one where it rains every day.... Could you c&p it here please?

whats so hard about that
btw, wasn't it a drama instead of a saga![]()
I never learned from a man who agreed with me.
Went and visited that thread? Is there more to the story?

Yes it smells great.. it is fully seasoned Rock Maple..
Lefty worried about it still "green"... It itself produced a lot of heat, and burns quite a while..
I like using Hickory, but finding a good hickory tree is scarce here, a pecan trees are closest to Hickory..
Another favorite for coldest days is "Osage Orange".. It burns like coal, must be careful on how much to load in the fire.. It can melt down a cast iron stove in matter of time.. Not a best wood for fireplace, because of shooting sparks, smells nasty too...

Someone fetch the stool from the pantry so Larry can shoot some pool, eh?
It is a fine day for peanut soup.
What does one drink to complement the peanut soup? Ommegang Abbey ale leaps to mind, but there must be others.
Now about these muffalettas, I gotta say I'm a bit disappointed in the food center. Maybe the sunday staff doesn't quite have the touch, but yesterday afternoon I sat with a GFC sandwich right next to the leftovers of the previous day's sandwich from Saldamarcos, and man there was no comparison. GFC might have a slight edge on the bread score, but Sal's ran away with the rest.
Knowledge: Tomatoes are fruit.
Wisdom: Tomatoes do not belong in fruit salad.
Hey! It's MY Hughniverse!
Yet we still cannot pull up the original thread......
And Yes Figgy, The Sunday deli crew at the GFC is somewhat.......Sub par, sadly.... Especially if you get the rather....."large" blonde chick with the glasses, or the old bald, deaf guy. You need either Kathy, or (VA-VA-VOOM! Erica...)
