    WOO HOO!

I've been stating at my little bleach bottle just itching to get her out from under cover. This year she will be treated to new standing and running rigging, and a new tiller and rudder. Possibly a small trolling motor as well.

Problem is right now, I can still drive my truck out onto the lake.

    Default Yikes!

Don't y'all use a retainer to keep the straps from sliding?

Anyway, beautiful spot to sail from the looks of it. You guys use VC-17 up there? Your boat looks very handsome.

No retainer straps, Mick... but occasionally the crane truck will go through the rotting dock or over the side!!

I've used Awlstar white in the past but since it's no longer made am shifting to Vivid (fingers crossed).

Does VC-17 come in a white (not grayish) white?

    Default I don't really know.

The guys around here use Baltoplate or Trinidad. We have to use ablative paints for the most part. That's a great looking bottom on your Shields.

We can not use VC paints around here. They don't seem to do what they're designed for in our water.

I would be scared to death not using a retainer. We have lifting straps attached to the keel bolts on the Dragon, but in Cleveland they can haul us with the Travelift and I always insist on a retainer. I can see that giant pile of steel and splinters laying there in my dreams (nightmares).

    Mmm...Lovely. Just lovely.

Out of curiosity and because I'm still thinking about you-know-what, what is the state of the tide?

I think we're all itching to get over. The bilge stinks ( so what else is new) and we're eager for some fresh salt air.
