    Default Global Warming solved

A response in the Misc Boat Related forum thread on articles for WoodenBoat got me thinking....

I happen to rely on ice. Now, the problem. Ya can't find REAL ICE! Blocks, big blocks. Even small ones..All ya get are five pounds of cubed slush for $2.50/bag
I'd love to see an article, ( a bit tongue in cheek perhaps ) titled " Where's the Ice".

You know, in a semi-closed, heat balanced system, the amount of heat energy used to make an ice cube in a freezer is transfered to the atmosphere. Which would require a corresponding absorbtion of heat energy in the polar caps.........Hmmmm.......The ice in the polar caps isn't melting; it is being transfered into freezers, slushy , and sno-cone machines all over the world! The actual amount of ice is constant! And we have a matter transport machine!

I need to apply for some study money and write a report on this to The Journal of Irreproducible Results.......

Not just ice cubes, all the air conditioned buildings, vehicles etc. the heat is removed from the enclosed space and transfered to the atmosphere.

Ohhh, so thats the problem, we don't have the thermostats set low enough. You see if you make an ice cube then the polar cap gets smaller by one ice cube. When you set it outside to melt, the polar ice cap get larger by one ice cube. The problem is that the AC units are not set low enough to generate ice in all the buildings....so the ice, as water vapor, is in limbo...no where cold enough to go.

Yes, turning up (down?) the cooling will help the problem....

Does that mean if we put all our wives outside, the climate will cease warming?

They have blocks in my neck ... last for days, if needed!!

We'll usually just make our own in the deep freeze ... I always had a problem paying for ice!

Mr. Hardiman, if any proposed solution places restrictions on frozen margaritas and ice cold beer, I suspect your gonna have problems with implementation.

I hope your wife does the same to you the next time you decide to eat beans.
