Does anyone know how much it might cost to truck a 31ft boat from the west coast to the east, ie Washington to Mass.Jeremy B.

Couple of years back I was getting quotes for a Seattle to Maine haul for a 44' schooner. Quotes ranged from $9,000 to $22,000. Some were clearly more interested in the job than others.

Four months ago I had a 36' cruiser hauled from Toronto to Minnesota (about 900 miles) for about $4000. WA to MA is about 3000 miles, of course, but I learned from the guy who hauled my boat that cost is driven by distance plus other factors -- load/unload time, insurance risk, etc., plus there are busy and slow seasons.

I was very pleased with the guy who hauled my boat. Great equipment, lots of experience, knows wooden boats, etc. If you want his contact info send me a private message.
