My wife's family had one decades ago here in Maine, too.
My brother had one (pretty rotten and fiberglassed over) for a long time oncape Cod until the centerboard rusted out and snapped off one day. He tried to sell it, couldn't, and abandoned it somewhere, but not before I got all the bronze hardware and spars off it. I couldn't believe what Pert Lowell charges for those things, like the folding traveller.
We sure did enjoy that boat though.
