I am ready to install the plywood disc covers over the holes in the centerboard case logs. What is the best bedding compound for this job that isn't as permanent as 3m5200 since I need access to the bolt now and then.

Traditional "gaskets" are leather but you could also use some sheet rubber. Rick
My favorite has always been polysulfide. BoatLife makes the most common version. You can get it at any marine store.
