    Default A Recent Meeting

We had a meeting recently on working with others. The conclusion we came to, or at least the conclusion I came to was we have to love them no matter what. Sometimes that means loving them from a distance but we maintain the stance that help is always available anytime day or night for anyone that wants it.

Anyhow, I just thought I'd throw that out there. Those are my feelings and the way I try to conduct myself when working with those that are sick.

Just because you have to love them doesn't mean you have to like them

We get to love em all but we can only work with them when they ask for help or show some sign of the slightest bit of motivation for change.

We are rowing on this small life boat. We might see an occasional hand waving from the sea. We row over and pull the victim in. Care for him/her then teach them about the life on a this particular boat.
Lots of them toss themselves back in.
We row on and willingly pick up everybody who is waving, especially those who have chosen for the jump back in.

When rowing, most of us are smiling and grateful and learn all we need to know to keep ourselves fit and work with the others rowers to keep the life boat in serviceable shape.

This boat has been on the water since June, 1935 and the beauty of this craft is, she seems to be unsinkable and has brought millions of drowning victims aboard in it's simple mission.

I am a firm believer that people come into your life for a reason, you just may not realize at the time. However you have to be able to seperate the person from the problem and realize that everything is not a personal attack, but may be a result of whatever they're dealing with. However this does not absolve them from being a jackass. You can care about them, and support them, but shouldn't let yourself get sucked in.
