    Unhappy Gilbert "GIB" Taylor RIP

Posted here, instead of P&P because more Mainiacs read this section.....
Gib was killed yesterday, May 2nd when his car ran off the road in southern Vermont. It is speculated that he suffered a heart attack, which caused the accident.
Gib was a talented wood worker, a spectacular water color artist, a sculptor, a boat builder, a luthier, a great teacher, and all around superior human.
He was my first wood working teacher besides my father. He taught at Marlboro college in Marlboro, VT. for many years. One of the most important things that Gib taught me was to have a sense of humor in your work. Never take it so seriously that you can't get a laugh out somewhere.
Gib split his time between Westminster West, Vt., and Deer Isle Me.
He will be very missed by all who knew him, and all who knew him loved him.

    Sorry Doug.
I've seen pictures of your work. I'm sure he was proud of you. He'll live on through you and his other students.

Heaven is going to have to be a very special place to compare to these two places.
