Googe saves folkboat!

Ya all remember my gushing leaks at the transome? I ended up stuffing the seams near the transome with underwater seam compound. Used an old credit card to press the goop in there. Well, I heeled her over pretty good yesterday for a long while, and just the slightest hint of dampness appeared along the two offending seams. So it's off to the islands this summer! But I'm keeping the goop can on board, remembering the story of Farley Mowett's Happy Adventurer.

Its nice to know that those wonderful folkebåd (folkboat) are even sailing far away from their birthplace. I just came back to home (Flensburg/Germany close to the danish border) from a short trip and saw about 20 folkebåd along the way. Over here in the danish south they are truly the "peoplesboats" - the volkswagen on water.
