I've seen (and been guilty of) a lot worse. You know that carrying those dinghies is a compromise, but a good compromise in your case. I couldn't see you R. Backstay to start with, but it's there. What is the halyard? with a block on it at the base of your shrouds? Is it for that staysail
Had you considered folding dinghies. One is hovering in my outer conciousness as my next project. There is a factory near here that makes 747 hangar size "portable" buildings. They throw away all the offcuts of heavy dacron reinforced PVC, the offcuts are usually long strips.
thats one of the topping lifts Hwyl.
one a side.
The dinghy is just one of the kids dinghies. Normally that un sits inside the other one upside down on the counter for passagemaking, the sabot on the cabin and the glass tender gets towed.
We had just left the Cavalli Islands( stayed there for the night, and were slipping 10 miles or so down to the Whangaroa hbr.It was a light day, we were scruffy, we'd been 3 weeks on the boat....![]()
