Boat images from Denmark

I don't think so, people have posted some whoppers here before.

However as a practical matter, it would be best if you limited an image to no more than 800x600 or 150K max, in deference to everyone who is accessing on dial up.

Even 800X600 is a bit wide for The Forum but tollerable. With the name column taking up part of the screen an 800 wide picture would require a bit of scrolling for those of us with an of fashioned screen. The small size (not the thumbnails) that ImageStation makes are just right.

Gert, in the pic you tried to post earlier, you left the .orig.jpg on the end of the pic's Imagestation URL. Try it again, without that ending.

I know nothing about the leeboard boat. The images my son brought back from Denmark only reinforced my love of lapstrake double enders and encourages me to go with Ian Ougtreds Mara because of her obvious heritage.

The leaboard boat looks a bit like a "zeeschouw". A dutch flat bottom traditional. Made in both wood and steel. Here are a few more pics I could find in a hurry.

I have always liked the upwards aft sweep of the cabintop on these boats. It must be a bear to get the proportions just right to make it eye-sweet from all angles of view. Such a sutle balance between roof profile and sheerline...
