Once the hull is planked and turned, the keel will fit in this ditch:



On this table I am making the frames:



And this is 45 kg New Foundlander / English sheepdog UNDER the table IN the ditch



There was no way she was leaving this spot. Nothing could seduce her to come out. After one hour, when I started to think about disassembling the table , she found her way out.

That's just a dog's way of saying 'Make sure there's room for me aboard...took a look at the web site, always liked those designs, reminds me of Lyle Hess, Paul Gartside, and others. Smaller but heavy boats that can go anywhere. Best of luck.

That looks like a good dog, all the right instincts. Digging, check, stubborn, check, devoted, check, you can't help but love-em.

Good start - Question, will you introduce rot or mold spores by buring the keel?

None of them I hope. The hull will be in a kind of cradle, and I will have logs in the ditch where the keel sits on.
But nevertheless..I will re-think this over. Maybe an extra barrier of film, though not blocking air circulation
