I just took a quick stroll thru the old miscellaneous, and saw lots of boat related threads that should be moved here.

It's easy to do, as mmd just illustrated. It would be worthwhile for each of us to check for threads we started there, that belong here.

Loon, I looked thru my old posts in reference to moving them, and decided to only move the one that is currently active. Let sleeping dogs lie, so to say.
Hope for the best, but plan for the worst.

I've got a current one I'd like to move. How do you do it?

This may not be the Kosher way of doing it, but nonetheless, it is how I accomplished the task:

Open two links to the WBF - one to the thread you want to move, one to the "Misc. Boat Related" forum.

Go to the thread you want to move and highlight all the postings, then press CTRL-C to copy them into your local memory.

Switch to the "Misc. Boat Related" forum and click on "Post a New Topic".

Enter the proper heading, then position the cursor in the text window and press CTRL-V. This will insert all the copied postings in local memory to the text window.

When I did this, the links to pictures did not get copied. As they were all my pics anyway, I just inserted new links to them.

Click on "Add New Topic" at the bottom of the text window and -Voila!- there are all the previous posts in the new thread.

Go back to the old posting in "Misc. Non-Boat Related" and delete the entire thread. (I tried this and failed, so I e-mailed Scot to ask him to do so, he did, and told me that I could have, but.... what the heck, it disappeared.)

Close out the second copy of the WBF, and have a victory nip of the libation of your choosing.
Hope for the best, but plan for the worst.
