Is it me, or does the cabin structure on the Mason design look like the top of one of those old time aluminum camping trailers?

'Shoestring's cabin is weathered wood, although it may look like metal in the photo, and Mason's design for cabin tops was a more or less standard feature at Sparkman and Stephens. Hughman- Did you stop to look at the Luke boatyard 'museum' which is about 100 yards from the 'Shoestring'? Did you drive down to Ocean Point... and could you see Monhegan from there that day?

those boats have been sitting there so long, i don't even notice them anymore, though i used to covet 'shoestring' a lot the first few hundred times i saw her...

Thats the wonder of going down Maine coast roads...If those boats were in Conneticut, you can bet they would have been dragged kicking and groaning into the varnish shop before you could say "bilge rot"!
