    Thumbs up

I downloaded it a while ago, and have been hooked ever since. Good graphics, tons of different boats, different weather conditions, and cruising in different parts of the world. Pretty cool. I've been sailing a Colin Archer cutter in the Pacific NW area - it's getting me through the Michigan winter.

Ive tried it out. Pretty cool. Not complex enough for my tastes. It seems like a "racing training simulator". I want a simulation of the Spray going around the world. The north sea might be fun too hehe

But do you have three years, two months and two days to spend completing it?

What other sailing sim programs are out there, and how good are they?

    Try these:

    http://bfc-online.com/

    these found on the "mother"

ALSO: I once found a freeware game in which one maneuvered Nelson era ships in battle. Anyone know this one? I can't remember where I found it, but I'd like to revisit the site.

I have one from Vivid Simulations, SAIL 2000 which is a racing SIM. Several different courses and you can rate your opponent to make it easier to win. (Called cheating).

    Hughman,
    You might find it here:

Alas, most of these are PC, and my old Mac won't play them.

Yes but do any of these race sims have a lawyer sub routine so you can contest the race properly when you lose?

I like Virtual Skipper 2. There is a demo available. The demo is missing a few features, but is still usable.

ps, I practice with the original VSK. Excellent for starting practice. On race days I don't feel cold going on the water, after a bit of a practice with VSK.
