I finally got to pick up my motor last Friday night after work. As it would turn out it's not nearly as new as my helper told me it was.
Here's the stats: 1961 or 62, Mercury 70 HP out board. I've talked to a few people at OB shops and they've all said that those older motors can get real expensive real fast.So I think I'm gonna try to get it running my self. I'm going to order the Seloc book for the motor in the next few days. I don't figure I can hurt it any more than it has been already. Right? Besides I'm looking forward to working on it.
Any one have any suggestions about other good refrence manuals that would be good to have on hand before I start? Any other suggestions?
Thanks, Lowell
