but it's not clear how to do it. This site used to be called Ofoto. I use an iMac.
Anyone know how to do it??

If I recall, Ofoto will not let you cross link but, if it will try this Ofoto in place of ImageStation:
Instructions for posting pictures
Photo to be posted must be on the web and in a site that allows cross posting. Many Forum users use www.imagestation.com . This is a free site which seems to have unlimited storage, large picture size, and unlimited albums.
Upload your pictures to ImageStation and create your albums or leave the pics in the in box as you wish.
Pictures in ImageStation are displayed in three sizes: thumbnail, display and original. Left click on the thumbnail brings up the display photo, about 640 bits X 400 or so. A left click on the display photo brings up the photo in the original size you uploaded. Forget this one, except in rare cases which I cannot explain it cannot be cross linked. So....
Left click on the thumbnail to show the display version.
Right click on this picture.
Left click "Properties".
Highlight the Address [URL] and copy it (Ctrl/C).
Now go to The Forum and prepare your new message.
Write what you want as a preamble to your picture, then:
Below the message area is a button, "IMAGE". Left click it.
Paste the URL you copied above into the block displayed.
Note that the block contains http already highlighted. Just paste without doing any thing else so you don't get http twice.
Add what ever additional text you wish to add after the URL of the picture is displayed.
Click on the "Preview Post" button to confirm that what you want us to see will appear, then close the window.
Click the "Add Reply" button and standby for responses.
I've got Kodak Easy Share but I havn't tried to load pics to the website. I usually do a little editing, or deleting, before I store. I'll noodle with it and see what I come up with.
I can't seem to figure out how to work Imagestation's recent "improvements". I usually end up getting the thumbnail from the index and editing the URL, for posting here.
I've tried Snapfish which comes closer to matching my level of intuitiveness.
ShutterFly.com also allows crossposting. Perhaps it willl serve better than ImageStation.
I used Imagestation happily until they lost most of my photos. I don't trust them now. I've also got Snapfish and Shutterfly accounts.
I've been experimenting with my mother-in-law's Kodak digital camera and the pictures I've taken automatically download to Kodak Easyshare (ex-Ofoto) via the included software. Just trying to see if I can save extra steps.

Truth be told I don't think you can trust any of them. Stuff happens.
Yup, you should save your pictures on a CD.Originally posted by NormMessinger:

Paul-
I can't even find where to bring up 'Image Properties ' on the Easyshare albums. Where do you get it? Some menu? Click and hold on an album... a picture?
Nor can I find a 'Contact Us' button or anything in their FAQ to find out if they allow crosslinking.

Damn- I wish I knew more about computers... but Macs have made it too easy, I guess.![]()
I discovered over the weekend that some browser configureations won't let you see "Image Properties".
I converted to DSL with a Yahoo browser and lots of stuff changed. I haven't yet got it all sorted out.
I can get to Yahoo using Internet Explorer, and things seem to work.
I'm not sure if any of this applies to iMacs.
