There sure are a lot of them on the first page of My Wooden Boat. A poorly trained statistictian would conclude that 35% of all wooden boats are Tolman Skiffs. How did this happen?

Tolman skiff owners love their boats the most and want to share the love.

The original designer, Renn Tolman, built just over 100 of them, mostly open skiffs of 18-20' then an evolution to larger sizes with cabins etc. Some now are 24-26'.
There could be a lot more of them posted as many have built them in the last few years. Anyone interested can find quite a few versions with many photos etc. at www.fishyfish.com/tolmanskiff.html
and Renn sells an updated book at his site
www.alaska.net/~tolmanskiffs/
A great seaworth boat.

Build going on here:
