Hey,
Any of you left coasters seen anything happen with poor old Highland Light?
It would be a shame if she just withered away, but I suppose it happens to all of us.

Dig up a thread called "the sorry state of highland light" for more details.
I was part of that thread and was hoping for an update.
Oops.
Last I heard from Wayne (the owner), he e-mailed me about six months ago and said i could have her for $20K. I declined, and don't know what happened to her since.

Adam,
I think many of us got the same email. I also spoke to him at some length a few times.
I had been trying to drum up interest here on the east coast. I gave a few talks about her and gave general history lessons but no one seemed up to the task.
I have been trying to chase down existing boats built to Frank Paine's designs, it seems a fair number have migrated west.
Oh well, HL was quite a goer in her day, which it seems, has long since past.
Cheers,
Jon

Adam I remember you went and saw her. Did you take any photos? Is she restorable? Is she still on the market? I cant find Adams thread "The sorry shape of Higland Light" anywhere.
Jon What can you tell us about her?
Thanks,

ya................ what ever did happen to Highland Light ??
Highland Light is a special place! I walked along the ocean at low tide below the light and a flounder flipped out of the ocean and landed at my feet. My name is "fishes with beach". Us cousins would run down the dune. About half way down, one could dig a hole into the bank and find good modeling clay. This was all back in the early 1950s. QM
