I'm looking to cheaply replace my 35 year old broken down, 3KW generator. Since marine installations are spendy, and our use is occaisional, I'm looking at some of the cheap, under 1500.00 diesel, air-cooled gensets in the 6KW range. Anybody have one, not necessarily in a vessel?...just wondering if we'll get a few years out of one....opinions??
