First he was puzzled that six adults brought four cameras and two video cameras to record his first boat ride.

Then the clicking noise made by a winch was the most amazing thing in the world.

Now his Aunt Angi's taught him that sometimes the best seat in the house is the boom.

Whether with the young or old, time flies by my friends. Treasure every second.

we've had Waione for about 19 I think. Our eldest is suddenly 11. About 8 in this pic I think.

Problem for us is where to put these extended units.

I've just had words with Barry - who is doing the woodwork on Grantala. Told him I'd have to trade in my wife on a younger version and start a new family if he didn't hurry up and finish the work, because this family would be all grown up.

Here's my oldest daughter on Chris Coose's Victoria. He took me and the kids out this summer for a fantastic sail.

All my kids on Victoria, Chris in in the shadow.

    And here's Victoria.

But, when they do grow up one can simply commandeer a neighbor.

Thanks for posting those photos Steve but I must beg an editing note.
In the lower photo the fenders are out board for an upcoming landing on the pier that Steve took this photo from.

You are some lucky folks! I'll soon be able to post my family sailing pics on here (17 month old daughter, and another on the way).

Nice looking crews you guys have!

Mine grew up too quick also. He got to be a better ChrisCraft pilot than me, and then learned to sail, but he's said that he'd take me sailboating on the St. Charles one day.

Thanks for the pictures of your sailors!

Just one more of my eldest, 12 year old Gavin at the Junior Olympics this summer. In a fleet of 20 boats in five races they finished 1st twice, 10th twice and 11th. So when the worst finish is dropped and everything calculated - they missed getting a trophy by 1 point! I took the day off and watched all the races from my wife's sea kayak. Great fun for me and for the racers. Gavin is in the yellow life jacket.
