Thank you all for your notes of encouragement and your humor.I wish I could respond to each, but there are too many to do so.You are strong medicine, and just what the doctor ordered.
I'm getting strong again and can walk w/o the walker(a shocker for a guy who just 8 weeks ago was walking 2 mi.in 25 min.each day).
I can see from the lively discussions that the forum is in great shape. It should definitely be a stop on the hitchhikers guide to the universe.
Koury,I'm trying to post the pictures, but photopoint is not cooperating with me right now.
I'll b lurking mostly for awhile, and as always, enjoying this great group of people.

    Darryl,

Heartfelt good wishes. Good to have you back, even if mostly as a lurker for a while.

    Follow your doctor's orders.

And have a good holiday season, plus many more!

Welcome back, Darryl. Hope you enjoy the holidays.

It's a pleasure to hear from you again.

A good sea boat's about as helpful as as walker--- hand holds everywhere--- and a lot more fun.

Darryl, don't pay too much attention to your Doc. I didn't and see where I am today, LOL.

Sympathies on the walker, they're certainly no fun. Been there; can't get no rhythm with them. Damn the Doc, get rid of that a quick as you can.

EXCELLENT! Now try not to overexert yourself, eh? I've had to lean on Sara the past couple of days to keep her in bed so she doesn't end up where you've been.

As for PhotoPoint: Alas, but I assume you've seen http://media5.hypernet.com/~dick/ubb...ML/003621.html

    Stay rested!

I'm glad you're workin your way back to marathon status.

Don't worry about the pics. You'd be proud of me! While you were gone I went and learned how to post pics!!!

We've missed your wisdom and caring.

    Take care of yourself.

Ah... ya can't keep a good man down!

Maybe now's the time to see if your medical insurance will cover buying one of those newfangled two wheelie gyroscope scooters they were ballyhooing a couple of weeks ago! LOL

Dear Darryl, I'm a newbie but I have enjoyed reading your posts. Keep the faith. If you feel like it, e-mail me and tell me about your lymphoma and the treatment that you've received. There's new stuff coming down the pipe all the time. At any rate, I hope you continue to improve and keep enjoying life. If this is a stop on the hitchhiker's guide then you must have an infinite improbability drive on your computer. Cheers, Mike

I don't know how this got to the top of my screen, but here it is. So let me ask -- has anyone heard recently how Das's wife and family have been getting on? And if anyone is in touch, please pass on my warmest regards.

I jotted this quote from him down in 2002, I think, to remember him best:

“Oh my,the winter no matter how mild, has been much too long.”—dasboat, 2002
    Sorely missed.
