Amid all the hoopla over the child tax credit, including giving money to those who don't pay taxes, why is the cut off age 17? Well, actually, I know why, but if they are going to give tax credit to those who don't pay taxes, why not include all children until at least age 18?
How many 17 year olds no longer live off of their parents? I think as long as you can claim them as dependants the tax credit should apply.
My 2 cents.
