miss mixed paints

Does any one know of a Marine store that sells miss mixed marine paint at a discount. Does that happen like with regular house paint. They usually have a corner where all the reject mixes are that they sell for cheap.

Nope. I've never seen a marine store that mixed their own paint colors. The way it works is that the manufacturers sell stock colors by the can, rather than white stock in bulk for tinting like the house paint stores. If you want a custom mixed marine quality paint color, contact Kirby Paint Co. in New Bedford, Mass. He'll mix it for you. Good paint, too.

Since Kirby's mixes their own paint, and does custom matching, there is are also the very slight possiblity that they would have miss-mixed paint for sale...

I've always assumed the only people who buy that mismixed paint are landlords who don't really care much what colour the walls end up. Hard to see that with a boat.
