    Default Apo Whang-Od

The Official Favourite Niece began to express interest in getting a tattoo last year. Her parents pointed out that this is seldom a good idea in the medical professions, but she remains quite specific; she wants to visit this lady and get a small traditional one.

This isn’t entirely fashion; a good part of it is nationalism!

My wife, as a mature woman got a small one. She is left handed and got a stylized L, like the British pound sign, on her left wrist. She, like many lefties, always had difficulty with right and left. Now she visualizes her tattooed left wrist and has no more trouble.

Not attractive, but that's not my decision, and I'm sure that your favorite niece would find my ancient un-tattooed self to be just as unattractive.

Our youngest daughter and son in law both have lots of ink. They like it and I don't think it's kept them from jobs or anything. The eldest has a small tattoo, I'm told. It's in a location that Dads aren't supposed to view apparently. But then, none of them are in the medical field so I haven't any idea what might apply there.

It seems appropriate for a person of Philippine heritage to get a traditional tattoo from a 106 year old master.

Dated an MD 20 years ago. She had tats and several body piercings. Though, all would be hidden as long as she didnt wear shorts, a tank top or a crop top to the hospital.

Last I heard, she was still successful in private practice.
