Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.
Not now Paul, I think I'm getting a headache...

It looks like the fundamental design requirement was that all body parts could be made on a press brake. And that you could easily make an origami model of the thing.
GM used to have a small truck with a body designed to be made with minimal tooling in developing countries. Looked sort of similar, but cheaper.

FWIW, neither the original Jeep, and much less the VW 'Thing', could be made with nippers and a brake. The Jeep had stampings for the grille and fenders, and the Thing was a pretty standard VW, a pseudoretro imitation of the Kübelwagen. Crude enough, though.

I don't believe the Dymaxion had any redeeming features, but it wasn't totally ugly.
Fuel economy was good for the era (36 MPG), and it had a pretty good top speed (125 MPH). Too bad the rear wheel steering let it down dynamically.I don't believe the Dymaxion had any redeeming features, but it wasn't totally ugly.
This was a 2CV-powered effort designed for African manufacture and use. The body is basically plywood stich-and-glue.

Uggggg--
Both the Tesla and the trailer are hideously ugly.
They look like they're designed to appeal to the "Tactical" crowd.

Even a fish wouldn’t get in trouble if it kept it's mouth shut.
Could we please have a picture of the overhead crane assembly needed to sit that trailer on the back of the "truck"?
12” cardboard model ?
yeah, the rear corner of the truck looks awfully close to the trailer. I think it’s a model.
a digital one
Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.
For sure it ain't real, but I don't think backing would be all that bad because it's a 5th wheel hitch. Of course (as said) the rear corners will hit. In addition, it'd get serious lift on the back of the "truck" with the air whipping under the trailer.
If you wanna jacknife in a hurry, back a 4 wheel steering trailer like a hay wagon. One can get one of those jammed up in less than 5 feet...

I may be totally wrong but it does look a lot like a model sitting on herringbone laid paving bricks that are typically about a foot long. The fifth wheel would probably need to be a bit further rearward to allow turning but with enough power it ought to reach maximum legal towing speeds with ease.
I would like to nominate a worse combination for reversing that Garret's suggestion; a six foot by four foot trailer behind a van is a nightmare to reverse.I hope to never need to do it again.

What do you mean “if”? Are you trying to imply that there is someone somewhere that doesn’t think the cybertruck’s styling is bad?
Hey, it had a flathead Ford V8! 85 HP! The aerodynamics were fantastic. Frontal area was a bit high, but remember the thing was actually supposed to fly - once the technology came around to make it happen. Mind you, it liked to lift at the stern, and point into the wind, but the drag coefficient was lower than anything else at the time, or for at least 50 years.I would like to see a road test that managed to get 125 mph!
or even 125 kph.
